"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" was written by Luo Guanzhong in 14th Century AD. The original unabridged Chinese text is brain-wringingly difficult and, in all honesty, I was only able to digest the simplified children's version. However, ROTK is one of the four most popular stories of all time in Chinese culture, and probably the only one of the four with pseudo-accurate historical depictions.

Thankfully, the original text was translated into english by Charles Henry Brewitt-Taylor in 1925. I have added in the character pictures into the text so that you can easily find the character you want and follow the story.
